Top five goalkeepers who can replace David de Gea at Manchester United

The Red Devils have struggled to build out from the back and play with a higher line in front of the Spanish shot-stopper
A new starting custodian may be among the top objectives for Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag in the upcoming significant summer transfer window.
Current custodian David de Gea's agreement expires in the summer, although a new agreement on lower pay has not yet been reached. The club's record holder for clean sheets may be leaving Old Trafford by June due to his poor delivery and general unsuitability for the system ten Hag wants to establish there.
Here are the top five goalkeepers who can replace David de Gea at Manchester United.
5. Giorgi Mamardashvili
This season, David de Gea has been unquestionably Ten Hag's top custodian, with Martin Dubravka, Jack Butland, and Tom Heaton serving as backups.
His for a long time status at the club is still in question as his contract expires this summer. Giorgi Mamardashvili, a custodian for Valencia, has caught United's attention recently, according to a fresh claim by the Spanish media Cope, and a permanent transfer to Manchester United is planned for the summer. Mamardashvili's contract at the Mestalla expires in 2027, thus Valencia will undoubtedly hold out for a hefty offer for one of their greatest players.
Mamardashvili, who is 6'6" and thrives at all of those attributes, would be a great long-term addition to the Red Devils.
4. Dean Henderson

De Gea and Henderson have a tight working relationship. According to Henderson, the Spaniard needs a challenger to push him to perform at a higher level.
The most recent one was during a 3-0 loss to Sevilla, and the 32-year-old is the Premier League custodian with the most mistakes that have resulted in goals. Henderson is currently out on loan at Nottingham Forest, but an injury has limited his playing time. He might just be the answer to United's sweeper-keeper problems and on top of that he is a Man United academy graduate and still just 26 years old.
3. Diego Costa
The Porto custodian, who is just 23 years old and possesses excellent distribution and a stellar penalty-saving record (again, in stark contrast to de Gea), may end up becoming United's starting custodian for the foreseeable future.
However, there are two issues with the Portuguese national team custodian. He just signed a new contract with Porto that reportedly has a £65 million buyout option, and his weak performance at the World Cup 2022 doesn't augur well for Premier League football.
2. Mike Maignan
Maignan would have replaced Hugo Lloris in the Les Bleus nets if he had been healthy for the 2022 World Cup, but he was sidelined with an injury before the competition. The French custodian, who plays for AC Milan, will have a lengthy career in goal for his country now that he has left international service.
At the club level, Maignan has already distinguished himself. His performances in goal for AC Milan last season helped the team rapidly move beyond Gianluigi Donnarumma as they won the Serie A for the first time since 2011.
He would be a very good addition to United and probably wouldn't cost much given the financial differences between English and Italian clubs. He just turns 28 this season.
1. David Raya

The goalkeepers most frequently mentioned in connection with United are now two more Spanish goalies, both of whom Luis Enrique preferred over De Gea when managing the national side.
Raya, a native of Barcelona, unusually rose through the ranks with Blackburn Rovers before moving to Brentford, where he played a crucial role in both the team's ascent to the Premier League and their subsequent good performances.
He could be the best option this summer at just 27 years old and extremely capable of executing the contemporary style that Ten Hag would want to use.
