The Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, commonly known as the U.S. Open Cup (USOC), is a knockout cup competition in men's soccer in the United States of America. It is the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in that country. The competition was first held during the 1913–1914 season as the National Challenge Cup. The 2022 US Open Cup marked the return of the competition after the 2020 and 2021 tournaments were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ending 106 years of consecutive play. MLS teams have dominated the competition since the league began play in 1996.

No lower division team has won the US Open Cup since the Rochester Rhinos in 1999, and the most recent lower division team to reach the final was Sacramento Republic FC in 2022. In its current format, the US Open Cup is contested by approximately 100 clubs from the professional leagues.

The US Open Cup Third Round draw took place, Eighteen Major League Soccer clubs joined the competition at this stage of the knockout tournament. Along with the top-flight teams, 30 other lower-level clubs make up the 48-team field for the third round.
