Here we take a look at the best young up-and-coming managers

We have witnessed several managers over the years who have established themselves in Europe, including the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, and Jose Mourinho. Yet, as time goes on, we see more and more excellent managers establish themselves. Because of this, we have compiled a list of the top 10 best young managers to watch for in the upcoming seasons in football.

Johnny Heitinga • Age: 39 • Club: Ajax

Gijsbert, John Alan "Johnny" Heitinga, a retired centre back player who now coaches Dutch football, was born on November 15, 1983. He now serves as Ajax's manager. Given that the Dutch team has won nine games in 12 games under his leadership, he is recognised as one of the top young managers in Europe.

Ruben Amorim • Age: 38 • Club: Sporting CP

He started his coaching career at Casa Pia in 2018 after retiring in 2017, but later left the position due to a disagreement with the Portuguese Football Association (FPF). Before taking over the senior squad in December 2019 and winning the 2020 Taça da Liga, he was named head coach of Braga B.

Amorim became the fourth-most valuable coach ever in March 2020 when he was named manager of Sporting CP for a managerial transfer fee of €10 million (£8.65 million). His accomplishments earned him the 2021 Manager of the Year honour in the Primeira Liga.

Matthias Jaissle • Age: 34 • Club:  Red Bull Salzburg

Matthias Jaissle, a German football manager and former defender, was born on April 5, 1988. He had been the executive assistant of Brndby IF until taking over as manager of FC Liefering in 2021. From there, he moved on to coach Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga, where the team presently sits with a 69.51 win %.

Scott Parker was fired by Bournemouth on August 30, 2022, and O'Neil was given interim leadership.  For the first time, he assumed leadership of the group. After the team's play in September, O'Neil received a nomination for Premier League Manager of the Month. He is presently climbing to the ranks of Europe's top managers.

Jacob Neestrup • Age: 35 • Club: FC Kobenhavn

Jacob Neestrup Hansen, a professional football manager and former player from Denmark, was born on March 8, 1988. He currently serves as the manager of Danish Superliga club F.C. Copenhagen. Since joining the team, he has had one of the best winning percentages (57.53), and in his 19 games as manager, he has only lost two games.

Raffaele Palladino • Age: 38 • Club:  AC Monza

After Giovanni Stroppa was fired as head coach of Monza's first squad, Palladino was promoted, and club CEO Adriano Galliani announced that his position was permanent. Monza defeated Serie A heavyweights Juventus 1-0 under Palladino's leadership in his first game. And, at the age of 38, is now one of the managers to watch out for in the upcoming season.

Enrico Maaßen • Age: 39 • Club:  FCA World

Maaßen was appointed manager of his previous club, SV Drochtersen/Assel, straight after retiring. In the 2014–15 Oberliga Niedersachsen season, Drochtersen/Assel finished first and earned promotion to the Regionalliga North. In the 2015–16 campaign, they placed fourth. He rose quickly through the ranks to become the coach of the Dortmund reserve squad, where he guided the team to promotion to the 3. Liga, earning him the position at FC Augsburg.

Ole Werner • Age: 34 • Club:  Werder Bremen

German football manager Ole Werner, who is in charge of the Bundesliga team Werder Bremen, was born on May 4, 1988. He had coached Holstein Kiel in the past. As a result of Kiel's 100% winning record under his coaching direction, he was promoted to the senior team of Kiel before taking the helm of Bremen. He has already witnessed 23 victories in 47 games there.

Didier Digard • Age: 36 • Club: OGC Nice

Digard returned to Nice when his career in professional football came to an end, and he was given the position of team assistant for the U17 squad. He was chosen to lead the club's reserve squad in the Championnat National 3 in 2021.

He was appointed as OGC Nice's temporary manager on January 9, 2023, after Lucien Favre was fired earlier that day. In his debut game in command, Nice defeated Montpellier 6-1; as of right now, he has eight victories in 13 games for Nice and 0 losses.

Julian Nagelsmann • Age: 35 • Club: Free Agent

He left Hoffenheim in 2019 and was hired by another Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. In 2020, RB Leipzig advanced to the UEFA Champions League semifinals under his leadership.

Nagelsmann became the most expensive manager in history when he was hired by Bayern Munich in 2021 for a record-breaking managerial transfer fee of €25 million (£21.7 million). paraphrase: He won the Bundesliga season, but was terminated as coach from the club in March 2023.

Premier League giants Tottenham and LaLiga giants Real Madrid are both interested in making Nagelsmann their next manager, according ot rumours.
