Top five goalkeepers with most saves in single Premier League match

Several goalkeepers in the Premier League have done an outstanding job of keeping their side in the game by making some incredible saves. 5. David James – 13 (Spurs vs Man City, 8 Apr 2006)

David James gained his first practical experience in the Premier League with Liverpool after rising through the ranks at Watford. Before joining Aston Villa in the 1999–2000 campaign, he played for the Reds for seven seasons. The Englishman was a dependable presence between the posts because of his quick reflexes, impeccable positioning, and superb shot-stopping skills. He made 13 saves for Manchester City against Spurs on 8 April 2006, James looked in the best shape of his life.
4. Mark Crossley – 13 (Newcastle vs Fulham, 7 Nov 2004)
Crossley joined Fulham for £500,000 in 2003 after becoming dissatisfied with his lack of game time at Boro. On September 23, 2003, he played his first game against Wigan Athletic at the JJB Stadium. While he did get more chances to play in the first squad during the 2005–06 season as a result of the sale of previous No. 1 keeper Edwin van der Sar, he spent most of his time with the club as the backup goalie.
He made 13 saves in the game and maintained a clean sheet against Newcastle.
3. Vito Mannone – 14 (Liverpool vs Sunderland, 19 Apr 2014)
For an unknown sum, Mannone agreed to a two-year contract with Sunderland. In the preseason Premier League Asia Trophy, Mannone began both of Sunderland's games, although Keiren Westwood was preferred. Vito's opportunity, though, arrived as soon as he faced Liverpool. When Sunderland played Liverpool, the former Arsenal goalie was in the best shape of his life, he made a total of 14 saves which saw him named the club's official Player of the Year as a result of his performance.
2. Tim Krul – 14 (Chelsea vs Newcastle, 10 Nov 2013)
Krul's efforts against Chelsea saw the Magpies keep a clean sheet in their 2-0 victory against Jose Mourinho's Chelsea. The Dutch international translated the same performance against Spurs and made a total of 14 stops, Krul which saw make a record for the most-ever saves in a Premier League game. And after the game, he deservingly was awarded the Man of the Match award completely.
1. David de Gea – 14 (Arsenal vs Man United, 2 Dec 2017)
David de Gea, the goalie for Manchester United, is now tied for third place in the Premier League for most saves made in a single game. This was De Gea's best-ever total while still getting to retain a clean sheet. De Gea has initially made as many as 14 stops in a single Premier League game, most notably holding Arsenal at length in a 3-1 United victory against the Gunners in 2017.
