The Red Devils face the LaLiga side yet again on the European stage
This Thursday night, Manchester United will host Sevilla for the opening leg of their Europa League quarterfinal matchup as they resume their quest for a first European championship since 2017.
Erik ten Hag currently holds one title while leading Manchester United, but the Dutchman hopes to add another before his first season at Old Trafford comes to a conclusion.
The Red Devils are aiming to win their first European championship since the 2017 Europa League, which they claimed under Jose Mourinho's leadership, thus winning the Europa League is undoubtedly on Ten Hag's radar.
Against a Sevilla team that isn't doing well, United will undoubtedly think they have a chance.
The Spanish team's poor domestic campaign has left them in 13th place in La Liga. On the European front, Los Nervionenses' place in the quarterfinal may be attributed to their home performance.
This campaign, Jose Luis Mendilibar's team has lost all five of its road games in Europe. In reality, their strong home displays against PSV (a 3-0 win) and Fenerbahce (a 2-0 win) in the preliminary rounds are the sole reason that they have advanced this far.
In their previous eight road games in all competitions, Sevilla have only managed one victory, with six of those games ending in losses.
On the other side, Manchester United have performed magnificently at home this season, suffering just one setback at the Theatre of Dreams.
The Red Devils have prevailed in seven of their previous eight games at Old Trafford, and in their last four home games, they have only given up one goal.
In light of this, we advise backing the home team to secure a commanding first-leg advantage. Both clubs have barely faced each other in any competitions, so, this will be their fourth meeting in Europa League, and lets take a look who has the advantage in head-to-head race.
