Real Madrid are closing in on signing Jude Bellingham
According to Fabrizio Romano, Jude Bellingham has reached a contractual agreement to join Real Madrid next season and is enthusiastic about the team's project.
The England international has made a name for himself as one of the top central midfielders in Europe while playing for Borussia Dortmund, and several clubs had expressed interest in him before the summer transfer window opened.
Manchester City, Liverpool, and Manchester United were interested in the 19-year-old midfielder, but Real Madrid has sealed a deal with him that will keep him with the club until 2029.
According to the source, Liverpool and City have both learned of Bellingham's plan to join Madrid, which is why they have decided to withdraw from the competition at this time.
Real Madrid and Dortmund have not yet reached an agreement, but it is anticipated that Bellingham would cost them about €120 million (£105 million).
Bellingham has 130 games and 21 goals and 25 assists in three seasons with Dortmund.
Bellingham assisted Dortmund in winning the DFB-Pokal in his first season there; this season, he has one more chance to do so by assisting Dortmund in winning the Bundesliga.
Since Real Madrid are a top team in the world, it is not unexpected that he made that decision. Along with Bellingham, brilliant young players from Madrid like Eder Militao, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Fede Valverde, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, and Vinicius Jr. have the potential to rule football for the next ten years.
In addition to the youth, there are seasoned players like Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Karim Benzema who are expected to stay for another season.
Jude Bellingham will benefit greatly from interacting with and learning from these legends. Bellingham wasn't necessary because Real Madrid have a strong midfield and also needs a right-back and striker.
