The preparation for the new season start here

The 2022-23 football season is currently underway, with various leagues and competitions around the world at different stages of completion. All the major European leagues such as the English Premier League, Spanish LaLiga, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, and French Ligue 1, have their final round of fixtures in the month of May.

As we approach the end of this season, the fans and teams are already looking forward to the summer transfer window, and how the transfers can help the teams in the rebuild before the start of the next season. Pre-season is an essential part of the rebuilding process as clubs typically use this period to prepare with training camps and friendlies.

A time for preparation and excitement

In recent years, pre-season for all the major European leagues has started in early to mid-July, with the exact dates varying from league to league and club to club. It's safe to assume that the 2023-24 pre-season will start around the similar time, with clubs beginning to return to training in July 2023.

For example Manchester United will be travelling to USA for the first time in 5 years as part of their preparation, they will face Arsenal on July 22 at the Met Life Stadium in New York, followed by matches against the Wrexham (who have changed the way the play since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took control) who recently got promoted League 2, and they will finally play against Borussia Dortmund. Real Madrid and amongst all the other top clubs are yet to decide about the pre-season but pre-season gets exciting as we were able to witness El Clasico last season in Las Vegas, and there's a possibility that we might see them play again this pre-season.

The pre-season will obviously take place after the season finale, there's a lot at stake for most of the clubs with Champions League spots yet to fill. Talking about season finale, we have a lot of interesting matches that are coming up; the UEFA Champions League final is scheduled for 11 June, 2023, while the UEFA Europa League final is set to take place on 31 May, 2023, and the DFB-Pokal final in Germany, FA Cup final in England both set to take place on 3 June, 2023.

As we look forward to the end of the 2022-23 season and the start of pre-season for 2023-24, it is definitely going to be an exciting time for football fans around the world.
