Clifford Miranda parts ways with Odisha FC

The Hero Super Cup-winning manager is all set to embark on a new journey.
The club would like to announce that Clifford Miranda, will be parting ways with Odisha FC. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude and acknowledge Clifford for his immense contribution to the overall growth and success of the team during the 2022-2023 season.
Throughout the year, Clifford Miranda has exemplified dedication and a deep understanding of the game. His passion for the game, coupled with his exceptional coaching abilities, has had a profound impact on the players and the overall development of the team.
Under his guidance, the club won its first trophy in the form of the Hero Super Cup and secured a spot in the AFC Cup Group Stage for the first time in its history.
Despite being offered an elevated position within the club, Clifford has chosen to pursue a different journey and new challenges. We wish him well always!

“I am so happy, I can’t begin to describe the feeling. This is the first trophy for the club, and I hope there will be many more to come,” Miranda told AIFF once the celebrations died down, long after the game. “This club deserves this trophy, the amount of work that has gone into building this team, every step of the way, makes this moment all the more special.”
Not soon after the final whistle was blown, did the players themselves surround their head coach and lift him in unison to toss him into the Kozhikode night sky, once, twice, thrice? Perhaps more. Nobody was counting. People were just busy enjoying the moment they had been longing for.
Miranda, who became the first Indian coach to win a major trophy for a Indian Super League club, was very quick to transfer all the credit to his players.
“This victory is all down to the players, it would not have been possible without them,” he said. “The way they responded to the tactics was simply fantastic. They just did everything that we asked of them. Even in the final, where we asked them to change the way they play, with just one day of training, it was just amazing how they responded and came up with the goods.”
