Odisha FC sign Aphaoba Singh from RoundGlass Punjab

Aphaoba Singh won the I-League with RoundGlass Punjab last season.
Odisha FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Aphaoba Singh on a three-year deal from RoundGlass Punjab FC.
The promising attacker, known for his blistering speed and versatility is a vital addition to the Kalinga Warriors. Aphaoba's ability to exploit wide areas and stretch opposition backlines will undoubtedly provide OFC a new dimension in their attacking options.
Aphaoba has previously played for Roundglass Punjab FC in the I-League where he won the title last season, Minerva Academy in the I-League 2nd Division and represented India in the AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers.
With a strong focus on developing young talent, the club has consistently aimed to provide a platform to young prodigies who can go on to represent the first-team regularly in the future.
Furthermore, Aphaoba's versatility allows him to be used in different tactical approaches. Whether it be deploying him as an out-and-out winger, or even as a forward, his adaptability will hopefully make him a valuable asset to the squad.
Odisha FC's preparations for the upcoming season
Odisha FC recently lifted the Hero Super Cup, which is actually their first-ever accolade in the trophy room. And now, they are charged up to do well in the Indian Super League next season. They have brought in Sergio Lobera at the helm, along with players like Mourtada Fall, Edu Garcia (advanced talks, as per Khel Now's previous report) and Ahmed Jahouh. They have also added the likes of Laldinliana Renthlei to the squad a few days back. As it stands, Odisha FC are in search of rejuvenation, and it looks as if they are not far from the destination.
Amrinder Singh, who is currently playing in the SAFF Championship 2023 for the Indian national team, also penned a long-term contract extension at the club.
