SAFF Championship 2023: Nepal vs India - Build-up

India face Nepal in their next challenge at the 2023 SAFF Championship. Their convincing win against Pakistan in the opening game of the tournament gives the fans of the country a lot of hope. The game will take place at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on 24 June and the excitement is high as the neighbouring countries prepare to clash.

The Blue Tigers’ assistant coach Mahesh Gawli expects the upcoming game against Nepal to be a tough one. With the prospect of qualifying for the knockouts, the Indian men’s football team will certainly go all guns blazing and push for the win.

Nepal had a difficult start to their 2023 SAFF Championship. They succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Kuwait and have to avoid a loss at all costs against India. Losing their second group game will eliminate their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages. Vincenzo Alberto Annese, the head coach of Nepal’s men’s football team, will want his team to spring up a surprise and cause an upset when they face the Blue Tigers.

The hosts are one of the contenders to win the 2023 SAFF Championship and winning the game against their neighbouring country will take them one step closer to realising their objective.
