The Bundesliga 2023–24 campaign will mark Borussia Dortmund's 115th season in existence and 48th straight season in the German top division. They will participate in the DFB-Pokal and UEFA Champions League this coming year, as well as in the regional league.
It is going to be the first time since 2015–16 that Raphael Guerreiro, who left for Bayern Munich, won't be playing. The Borussia Dortmund BVB home jersey will feature a fan's design for the first time ever this season.
Borussia Dortmund began the year 2023 with a 10-game winning streak, which kept them atop the Bundesliga rankings until the last game.
The German team held a commanding lead during the competition, but on May 27 at Signal Iduna Park, a stalemate with Mainz ended their hopes of winning the championship. Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga title for the 11th straight season thanks to an insignificant point differential.
