The Italian manager has reached an agreement to become Brazil's next manager

According to reports, Carlo Ancelotti will quit Real Madrid once his contract with the club expires in 2024 and take over as Brazil's next manager.

Ancelotti was previously rumoured to take over the Selecao in 2023, but he is anticipated to stay at Real Madrid through 2024.

Tite resigned as Brazil's manager after the team lost to Croatia in the 2022 World Cup quarterfinals. Ramon Menezes is serving as Brazil's temporary manager at the moment.

The South American powers, who had been projected to win the tournament, humiliatingly lost to Croatia on penalties.

The 2023–2024 campaign will likely be Ancelotti's final in the capital of Spain, as the writing appears to be on the fence.

Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen and Raul Gonzalez of Castilla are the two players most likely to succeed him for Real Madrid, depending on how well they perform for their respective teams throughout the forthcoming season.

Even if the CBF has assured Ancelotti's presence, the Italian coach is limited to offering the federation his verbal approval due to FIFA rules that state a player or coach can only sign with a new team within the final six months of their contract. An official contract cannot be signed by Ancelotti prior to January 1, 2024, as a result.

Since Tite resigned as Real Madrid's manager in December following Brazil's elimination from the 2022 World Cup, CBF continues to be seeking the Real Madrid manager.

Ancelotti had often dismissed playing for the Brazil senior team, but it was announced later this month that he would remain with Los Blancos for a second campaign.

Selecao will be back in action when they play Senegal during a friendly match.
