Franck Kessie’s agent slams ‘fake news’ regarding Barcelona exit

The 26-year-old was signed from Milan in 2022
Franck Kessie's representative has denied rumours that the midfielder has accepted a transfer away from Barcelona after receiving notification that he is no longer needed.
Although he joined the Catalan club in July 2022, the 26-year-old found it difficult to establish himself as a fixture in Xavi's starting lineup as they surged to the La Liga championship.
Cash-strapped, the sale of Kessie represents one of the potential choices Barcelona have to help raise much-needed funds as they work to balance their accounts by the end of June.
According to Diario AS, Franck Kessie is expected to be the first player to go this summer after being informed by Xavi that he will be traded for financial gain.
According to the source, Barcelona have already received numerous bids for Kessie but wants to get at least 35 million euros for the midfielder. Not at all, claim Franck Kessie's supporters, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Since Franck Kessie didn't start much for Barcelona in his rookie season, his name has been mentioned in rumours for a while. Given that the Ivorian joined as a free agent in the summer of 2022, the club might possibly turn a healthy profit on him.
The former AC Milan player has made 43 appearances for Barcelona across all leagues, but only 16 of those appearances have been as a starter. He has scored three goals for the Catalan champions.
Franck Kessie, Eric Garcia, Ansu Fati, and Ferran Torres are all regarded as players the club is ready to let go of, and Barcelona needs to sell this summer. However, as things stand, it appears that neither of the quartet has any desire to part ways.
However, the former AC Milan midfielder has attracted interest from many clubs, with reports claiming Liverpool are set to make an offer.
For Kessie to play at Anfield next season, Liverpool are prepared to pay €35 million (£30 million). After finishing the current season in fifth position.
Liverpool will be trying to carry that kind of form into the Premier League next year. Kessie would be a further possibility in Jurgen Klopp's plan to revamp the Reds' midfield before the upcoming season.
