Harry Kane rejects Premier League switch with Bayern Munich move edging closer

The 29-year-old will be out of contract next summer
Tottenham Hotspur and England captain Harry Kane's intention to transfer to Bayern Munich scuttled rival Premier League clubs' aspirations of acquiring him.
The Germans even believe they can acquire Tottenham Hotspur's standout forward, Kane, for just £85 million. Only one year remains on the England captain's Spurs contract.
Since making his debut 12 years ago, Harry Kane, 29, has been a devoted member of the London club, collecting 280 goals. But he has yet to take home a domestic prize.
Harry Kane now hopes to finally land a move to sate his desire for success after Tottenham Hotspur failed to secure European competition for next season.
Erik ten Hag is in desperate need of a new striker, and Manchester United have been mentioned as his probable future.
Despite losing Karim Benzema to the huge Saudi cash rush, Real Madrid were also mentioned. Bayern Munich are reportedly in the lead in the hunt to sign Kane, according to Sky Germany.
Having faced the hitman on multiple occasions when managing Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel has long been a fan. After selling Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona this past summer, Bayern are also in need of a goal scorer.
They nearly lost their streak of 11 straight championships, needing a late goal from themselves and Borussia Dortmund to win the Bundesliga.
Additionally, after new internal discussions, Bayern are currently making Kane their main target. The Germans may find a clean way to the Three Lions hero, in fact. This is due to Kane reportedly being completely smitten with the notion of playing for Bayern.
Gareth Southgate's star player has made it obvious to the Germans that they are his first option this summer, despite the fact Manchester United is interested in signing him.
Should Kane not move to a Premier League club, it would prevent an unpleasant reunion with Spurs, which is their chairman's intention as well; he wants to sell the striker to overseas clubs.
