Lionel Messi joins David Beckham’s Inter Miami following PSG exit

He will play in the MLS
After leaving French champions Paris St-Germain, Argentina superstar Lionel Messi will sign with Inter Miami in the United States.
The former attacker for Barcelona is expected to turn down a more substantial offer from Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia. Brands like Apple and Adidas are collaborating on the Miami agreement.
Messi, 35, has won the Ballon d'Or seven times, and after the World Cup, he is predicted to win it again this year. Messi, a legendary player for Barcelona, is playing his first game outside of Europe.
He planned to stay in Europe for another season, but after receiving no suitable offers, he was forced to choose between Inter Miami and Al-Hilal.
He was widely believed to want to move to Saudi Arabia, where he could have joined Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo in the league in an offer that was unaffordable.
Messi was finally drawn to Inter Miami of Major League Soccer (MLS) for a number of motives, notably the team's culture and a contract with major brands that go beyond sports.
He already has a Miami home that he rents out.
He was eager to return to Barcelona this summer, but any daring plan to do so was rendered impossible by the Financial Fair Play (FFP) restrictions that would be in place for the upcoming La Liga season.
His stint in France wasn't considered a major success because Paris St-Germain lost in the round of 16 of the Champions League despite winning Ligue 1 in both of his seasons at the club.
He scored 32 goals in 75 appearances for the team and finished the Ligue 1 campaign with 16 goals and 16 assists.
Both parties agreed to split ways as Messi's two-year deal expires this summer. The striker was banned for two weeks in May due to an unapproved travel to Saudi Arabia.
His time at Barcelona and the World Cup victory with Argentina in December will live on in his legacy. After 21 years of working for the club, he left Barca in 2021 due to the organization's economic crisis.
It was planned that he would go back to his childhood club to complete his glittering career after leaving the club in a poor position. However, the Catalan giants struggled to find a means to sign the 2022 World Cup champion due to their financial difficulties.
