Norway announce 23-player squad for FIFA Women's World Cup 2023

The tournament kicks off on 20 July
Hege Riise forwent the chance to declare a preliminary team and revealed her 23 players for the competition. The squad for Norway's appearance in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup consists of these players.
In recent matches, Norway have had trouble finding its rhythm, losing 4-2 to Spain and then tying 3-3 with Sweden in April.
Ada Hegerberg and Cesilie Andreassen's strikes were unable to prevent Spain from defeating Norway, while Frida Maanum's goal in the 96th minute was enough to tie the game against Sweden.
Norway had a 2-1 lead after the first half with two goals from Maanum and Karina Saevik, but they fell behind 3-2 in extra time. Thankfully, Maanum saved them in the end.
Hopefully this will be a Norway when they take the pitch in their opening Women's World Cup game against New Zealand.
The 23-member Norway World Cup team is listed below. Norway are in World Cup Group A with New Zealand, the Philippines, and Switzerland. Their opening World Cup match is on July 20 against New Zealand.
