Real Madrid terminate Eden Hazard’s contract after mutual agreement

Real Madrid and Eden Hazard’s saga ends after the Spanish club terminated his contract with mutual consent. The 32-year-old spent four years at the club but was unable to make an impact. Injuries restricted his game time at the Capital Club and now he will be available in the transfer market.

Real Madrid paid a heavy amount to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea. Cristiano Ronaldo left the club and in the next season, they replaced him with Eden Hazard. They cost them around £88.3m, with add-ons potentially rising to £150m.
Eden Hazard has won three major trophies at Real Madrid. He won the famous 2021-22 Champions League with three appearances. Hazard also won the LaLiga in the same season. Earlier, he won the LaLiga in the 2019-20 season.

The Belgian winger has had a tough time at Real Madrid. In the four seasons, he played 54 LaLiga games and 17 UEFA Champions League games. Overall he made 77 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid. he only scored seven goals and provided nine assists.
Eden Hazard was one of the best players in the English Premier League during his Chelsea days. He guided them to two Premier League titles, two UEFA Europa League titles, and the FA Cup. The 32-year-old spent seven seasons at the English club.

Now he will be available as a free agent. The Belgian has been unfit, and he might be heading out of Europe. There are chances that Hazard might be seen in an MLS outfit. However, Saudi Pro League clubs are also chasing some of the top European players. Eden Hazard will now look to revive a bit of his career and hang up his boots with a few pieces of silverware in his collection.
