Sadio Mane drops massive hint over his 'Premier League return'

The Senegalese experienced a dry spell at Bayern Munich who are willing to offload him

When quizzed about joining Newcastle United, Sadio Mane responded, "Never say never," giving a tremendous indication as to his probable departure.

The Senegal forward, who had previously shone for Southampton and Liverpool, said goodbye to the Premier League in the summer of 2022 when he finalised a transfer to Bayern Munich.

Due to links to teams in England and Saudi Arabia following a challenging season in Germany, questions regarding Mane's future are now being raised.

When questioned concerning Newcastle by politician and Magpies supporter Martin Callanan, the 31-year-old did not rule anything out.

When asked if he would consider starting his club football at St James' Park the following season, Mane responded, "Never say never."

With a top-four finish in 2022–23, Newcastle will return to the Champions League, and they are being linked with a number of high-profile recruits, including Sadio Mane, who won the Premier League title while playing for Liverpool and scored 120 goals in 269 games.

Mane joining the Magpies is undoubtedly a wise choice given that the Senegalese player has Premier League experience and a League title of his own. His time at Bayern Munich should not be interpreted as one unsuccessful year hampered by injury.

Newcastle will compete in Champions League next season and adding Mane to the squad will be a valuable experience as he won the competition during his time at Liverpool.

It's still uncertain, though, as there will be plenty of these stories to be shared now that the transfer window is open.
