Stefano Pioli will look to strengthen his side ahead of the 2023-24 campaign

AC Milan will be looking to make a lot of changes to their squad this summer after missing out on silverware last season. After the departure of big names from the side, which is likely to happen this summer, the Rossoneri have a lot on their plate.

Stefano Pioli will be looking to make some major overhauls to his side in the quest for titles. The team was close to winning the Champions League last season before they were knocked out by Inter Milan in the semi-finals, and this time around they will be hoping to reverse their fortunes with some notable additions to their ranks.

5. Andrew Omobamidele (Norwich City)

Norwich City are bracing themselves for potential transfer interest in Andrew Omobamidele this summer, and AC Milan set their sights on the talented defender. Omobamidele, an international player for the Republic of Ireland, showcased his abilities in 34 appearances in the Championship, attracting attention from various clubs.

However, any move by Milan to acquire Omobamidele would have to adhere to Norwich City's conditions, considering the defender's lengthy contract that runs until 2026. Previous reports estimated the 20-year-old's value at £20 million. It remains uncertain whether AC Milan is willing to meet these demands. Only time will reveal the outcome as negotiations unfold in the coming months.

4. Arda Guler (Fenerbache)

AC Milan have initiated contact with Fenerbahce by sending an official letter seeking permission to enter into formal discussions with Güler's representatives regarding contractual terms. This move by Milan's management signifies their intent to pursue the player and gain his approval for the transfer, potentially triggering the release clause in his current contract.

The Italian club is actively searching for an attacking midfielder to replace Brahim Diaz and a right winger to bolster that side of the field, and the 18-year-old Güler fits both positions admirably due to his versatility.

Having recorded six goals and seven assists across various competitions for Fenerbahce last season, Güler also scored his inaugural goal for the senior Turkish national team in a recent match against Wales. The negotiations between the clubs and the player's camp will determine the outcome of this potential move.

3. David Frattesi (Sassuolo)

Sassuolo have decided to raise the valuation of midfielder Davide Frattesi to €40 million, anticipating potential competition from AC Milan in addition to Inter Milan and Juventus. This information was shared by Gianluca Di Marzio, a trusted transfer market expert from Sky Sport Italia.

The increased asking price comes as AC Milan expresses their interest in entering the pursuit of Frattesi alongside Inter Milan. Previously, Inter had been actively pursuing the signing of Frattesi throughout the summer. The elevated valuation indicates Sassuolo's intention to capitalise on the growing interest in the player and potentially secure a higher transfer fee for his services.

2. Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal)

AC Milan are said to be highly interested in acquiring the services of Samuel Chukwueze, a player who has also been targeted by Real Madrid and Liverpool. The 24-year-old Nigerian international has been a consistent starter for Villarreal over the past four seasons, contributing to their success, including winning the UEFA Europa League.

As Chukwueze's contract is set to expire in a year, rumours of his departure from the La Liga club have circulated this summer. Todofichajes suggests that AC Milan are on the verge of outpacing their competitors by making an initial offer of €20 million for the talented attacker. However, Villarreal appears reluctant to part ways with their star player for anything less than €30 million. The negotiation process will determine the final outcome.

1. Folarin Balogun (Arsenal)

Folarin Balogun has made a significant impact during his loan spell at Ligue 1 side Reims this season, scoring 20 goals across all competitions. The 20-year-old striker is currently owned by Arsenal, but he is expected to pursue a permanent move away from the Emirates Stadium in the near future. In an effort to bolster their attacking options, Serie A giants AC Milan are reportedly interested in securing Balogun's services, as stated by Calciomercato.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to leave the club and Olivier Giroud approaching his 37th birthday, Milan is actively seeking a proven number nine. Balogun perfectly fits their requirements, and they are also working on securing a new contract for talented Portuguese international Rafael Leao. The negotiations and agreements will shape the next chapter for these players and clubs.
