Looking at the key transfer news for the day

The transfer round-up of 21 June features some of the completed transfers as well as the big rumours from around the world. Premier League clubs are targeting players from other top-five leagues and some teams have enough money to persuade the players.

One such deal is Newcastle United's approach to sign Sandro Tonali. The Athletic's Serie A correspondent, James Horncastle reported that the Magpies are preparing a €70m bid to sign AC Milan's sensation. The 23-year-old midfielder has made 130 appearances in the Serie A and won the title with Milan in 2021-22.

Newcastle United were also targeting Inter Milan's, Nicolo Barella. However, Inter's demand of €90m for the player and the Premier League side has dropped its interest in the player.

Manchester United submit an improved bid for Mason Mount

Manchester United are not giving up on Mason Mount and have made an improved bid of €50m for the player. According to the Athletic, the Red Devils have offered €45m and €5m as add-ons. Chelsea are demanding €15m more for their playmaker.

Gundogan to Barcelona and Kovacic to Manchester City

Ilkay Gundogan has finally completed a move to Barcelona. The German has completed his medical and will join on a two-year deal.

Manchester City had already made plans to replace the player. They also signed Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea for €25m and €5m add-ons.

Kai Havertz to Arsenal for £65m

Kai Havertz is close to joining the Gunners after both clubs agree on a fee of around £65m. Arsenal are trying to get the forward for the last two weeks. Now it looks like the deal could be successful.

James Maddison is close to joining Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur is looking like the next destination for Leicester City's, James Maddison. The Foxes are looking to cash in on the Englishman. Spurs are the favourite and the deal could happen next week according to the Daily Mail.

Toni Kroos signs a one-year extension

First Modric, now Toni Kroos—it looks like the duo is planning to leave the club together. However, after signing a contract extension, they are definitely not leaving this summer. Kroos has signed a one-year deal with Real Madrid.

Manchester United set to make player plus cash bid for Declan Rice

Declan Rice is a target for the top-three teams in the English Premier League 2022-23. Arsenal have already seen their bids rejected and now the Red Devils are plotting a move for the English midfielder. The Telegraph reported that Manchester United could offer cash plus Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire to complete Rice's signing.

Hakim Ziyech, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy are on their way to Saudi Arabia. The Moroccan is heading to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr. Mendy will join Al-Ahli and Koulibaly is heading to Al-Hilal.

Bundesliga clubs interested in Leeds United's Robin Koch

Robin Koch could be heading to the Bundesliga after interest from Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt. Sky Germany reported that these two clubs are ready to battle for the 26-year-old centre-back.

Brentford preparing £25m for Wolves' defender

Nathan Collins is on the target list of Brentford. They made an opening bid of £21 million for the centre-back, but the bid was rejected by Wolves. Now, Sky Sports report that the Bees are expected to meet their asking price of £25 million.
