The Kerala Blasters Director has promised a Q&A session in future.

The recent announcement of the departure of fan-favorite player Sahal Abdul Samad by Kerala Blasters FC (KBFC) has left many fans disappointed and questioning the club's decision-making. In response to the uproar from supporters, Nikhil Bhardwaj, Director of Kerala Blasters, took to Twitter to address their concerns and provide some clarity on the situation.

Nikhil's tweets sought to reassure fans and shed light on the club's perspective, promising a Q&A session and further updates in the future.

Clearing Misunderstandings

In response to the fans' concerns, Nikhil Bhardwaj initiated a tweet on his official Twitter account, stating, "Seeing so many questions, comments, assumptions, misunderstandings since I was on here last. We can do a proper Q&A to hopefully address some of these at the end of the window." Nikhil acknowledged the flood of questions, comments, assumptions, and misunderstandings circulating among the fans.

He expressed his willingness to address these concerns in a proper Q&A session at the end of the transfer window. This gesture shows Nikhil's commitment to engaging with the fans and clarifying the club's decisions.

Profit-Oriented Claims

Responding to accusations of being profit-oriented and looting the club, Nikhil categorically denied these allegations. He responded to allegations of the club being profit-oriented and looting by stating, "Meanwhile, to be termed profit-oriented & looting the club is disheartening & baseless. There are no profits so there is no question of looting the Club. Money from transfers, ticket sales, etc. don't go into our pockets. It would be profit-minded to invest such money elsewhere."

Nikhil clarified that the club's revenue from transfers and other sources is reinvested in the club's activities rather than being siphoned off for personal gain.

Acknowledging Imperfections

Nikhil Bharadwaj acknowledged that not all decisions made by the club may align with the interests of the fans. He admitted that in the three years since him joining Kerala Blasters, the team has failed to secure a trophy.

However, he assured fans that the club has a well-defined process and is committed to rectifying its shortcomings. He mentioned, "I understand not all decisions made are correct/in the interest of fans. Since joining 3 yrs ago, I've never shied away from criticism & fully accept that we have failed in delivering a trophy so far. But, there is a process that we will stick to. We will find success."

Coach and Sporting Director Involvement

To allay concerns about player departures and arrivals, Nikhil reassured fans that every decision is approved by the coach and the Sporting Director.

"I see many people panicking and worrying about the departures vs arrivals - relax. Every such decision is approved by the Coach and SD. We will be stronger, we will be better." Nikhil's assurance that the club will emerge stronger and better suggests that there is a plan in place to address the gaps created by player departures.
