SAFF Championship 2023 Final: Kuwait vs India: Betting Tips and Odds
India will look for a record ninth SAFF Championship title.
Hosts India will take on Kuwait in the final of the 2023 SAFF Championship. The team led by Sunil Chhetri has a chance to win back-to-back titles against the invitees Kuwait.
The final will take place on July 4 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore. As these two teams get ready for the ultimate match, we look at their odds to win the 2023 SAFF Championship final.
Kuwait vs India: Match odds
Kuwait and India were in the same group during the earlier stages of the tournament. Both teams finished level on seven points but Kuwait scored more goals and took the first place.
These two teams faced each other in the third match of the group stage. Sunil Chhetri gave India the lead at the end of the first half. Anwar Ali was unfortunate to score a late own goal and the match ended 1-1.
As per the 1x2 betting odds, Kuwait head as the favourites to win the match. They have a winning odds of around 2.5. India have a winning odds of 3.1 and the possibility of the match ending in a draw during the first 90 minutes has an odds of 2.9.
India kept 56% possession in the last game but only one shot on target in the entire match. Kuwait, on the other hand, had five shots on target.
This could once again turn out to be a tight game and might even head into extra time or a penalty shootout.
Kuwait vs India: Scoring odds
Kuwait have scored nine and conceded two goals in four matches played. They average just above two goals per match. The defence has been tight and kept two clean sheets.
India, on the other hand, have scored seven and conceded one goal. The Blue Tigers won their semi-final tie against Lebanon on penalties after the first 120 minutes ended with a goalless draw.
As per the over/under goals, the odds for over 1.5 goals is 1.76. The odds for over 2.5 goals are high at 3.35. This means that a tight game is expected in the first 90 minutes of the final match between the two nations.
Sunil Chhetri is the highest goal-scorer in this edition with five goals to his name. He has scored three goals more than six players behind him in the second spot. The Indian captain will look to lift the title once again against the invited nation.
Kuwait will look to stop the hosts from winning back-to-back titles. India have the home advantage as the whole crowd will be behind their team. This could give them a little advantage in the final.
