Bayern Munich appoint Christoph Freund as new sporting director

Many clubs were interested in making Christoph Freund as their sporting director
Bild and Sky Germany have reported that Christoph Freund, who is the former sporting director of RB Salzburg, will start in his new position as Bayern Munich new sporting director on September 1.
On the final game day of the previous campaign, Hasan Salihamidzic was removed from his position as Bayern's board chairman for sport. Since then, the German champions have been looking for an alternative.
Freund, 46, has been a member of RB Salzburg since 2006. He has served as their sporting director since 2015, but he will ostensibly transition to a new position in Munich.
Despite the fact that certain targets have already been signed and Bayern Munich is putting all of its chips on Harry Kane, this indicates that Uli Hoeness and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have some kind of long-term plan in mind.
Fans will be hoping that, as he did for so many years in the Red Bull system, Freund delivers excellent potential to the squad. It is encouraging that a veteran SD like Freund has been brought in at this point.
The top-level restructuring that began with Julian Nagelsmann's dismissal in March will be largely finished with this appointment. All three of Nagesmann, Kahn, and Brazzo have left the company, and their successors appear to be here to stay.
Despite just committing Freund to a deal through 2026, Salzburg was prepared to provide him with better terms if necessary.
Reports claim that while Boehly and co-owner Behdad Eghbali regarded Freund as an appropriate match for the multi-club ownership system they were aiming to create, then manager Potter was eager to work with him.
What kind of team will Bayern Munich be in the future? If Christoph Freund is the person, then you're looking at the person who will significantly influence that result.
