The Spanish player spent most of his career in England

In the 20 years he spent as a football player after completing his professional debut at the age of 16 for Arsenal, Cesc Fabregas won 12 major competitions, notably the Premier League and LaLiga.

He made 110 appearances for Spain, helping them capture the World Cup and the European Championships twice.

Cesc Fabregas, who played midfield for Barcelona, Chelsea, and Arsenal, has declared that he's retiring from the sport at his current age of 36.

During his international career, which witnessed him clinch consecutive European Championships and the World Cup following both triumphs, Fabregas amassed 110 caps for Spain.

Cesc Fabregas started playing football with Barcelona's La Masia, but at age 16, he made his first-team debut for Arsenal. He played for Arsenal for eight years before moving back to Catalonia.

After winning the FA Cup with the Gunners, Cesc Fabregas went on to win four more trophies during a three-year spell in Spain: La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Fabregas later made a comeback to the Premier League with Chelsea, where he won the championship twice—once under Jose Mourinho and once with Antonio Conte. He also helped the Blues win the FA Cup and the League Cup.

The attacking midfielder, who played his final season playing football professionally for the Italian second-tier club Como, posted on social media:

"With great sadness, the time has come to hang up my boots. I will cherish every moment, from the early days at Barcelona, Arsenal, back at the Blaugrana, Chelsea, Monaco, and finally Como. From the World Cup to the European Championships, victories in England and Spain, winning European trophies—it was a trip I will never forget."

Cesc Fabregas will commence his career in managing as he set to take charge of Como.
