Chelsea's Christian Pulisic nearing AC Milan move in €20m deal

Chelsea have offloaded plenty of their top players so far this summer
AC Milan have made a second offer for Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic in excess of €20 million ($21.8 million), and the forward is nearing a move to the Italian club, according to ESPN.
Last week, Christian Pulisic was said to have reached a preliminary personal agreement with Milan, which might allow the American sensation to participate in the Champions League the following year.
According to reports speaking to ESPN, Milan feel confident in reaching a deal with Chelsea on the transfer fee. The Italian club believes that the cost savings Chelsea will save on Pulisic's salary -- roughly €15 million per year -- are sufficient to secure a deal with their most recent offer.
According to ESPN, Pulisic has also drawn interest from Ligue 1 club Lyon, but the attacker is predicted to turn down the opportunity to transfer there because he thinks it would be detrimental to his future.
2018 saw the €64 million transfer of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea, where he has now made 145 appearances over the course of four seasons.
In recent years, Chelsea and Milan have built great relationships in the transfer market and have gotten to know one another well. In the previous month, Milan acquired Olivier Giroud, Tiémoué Bakayoko, and Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea before purchasing Ruben Loftus-Cheek from the Stamford Bridge side for a startling £15 million.
The team led by Stefano Pioli is eager to add more players now that they have qualified for the Champions League. Although he has struggled to demonstrate his talent over his four seasons at Chelsea, Pulisic possesses undeniable talent.
The 24-year-old spent £58 million to go from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea in 2019. He has generally struggled. Pulisic had a key role in Chelsea's 2021 Champions League victory, but because to injury, he was limited to just 25 games in 2018.
Christian Pulisic is prepared for a new beginning and is capable of playing through the middle, on either wing, or both. He still has one year left on his contract, and Chelsea wants to move him as part of their huge purge. The new manager of Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino, is unwilling to maintain players who are not dedicated.
