Erik ten Hag 'loves Man United youngster to madness' and won't loan him: Report

Ten Hag has reportedly 'loved the madness' of Kobbie Mainoo's performance
The 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo only played in three senior games for Manchester United, but he was set to be selected at the end of the previous campaign before an injury prevented him from participating.
Along with Alejandro Garnacho, the midfielder from Stockport was a member of the 2022 FA Youth Cup-winning team. Last season, he also earned the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of The Year Award.
In order to strengthen their midfield, United added Mason Mount this summer. Erik ten Hag is also interested in Sofyan Amrabat.
Erik ten Hag reluctant to loan away Kobbie Mainoo
But according to The Athletic, Erik ten Hag 'loves him to madness' and United have no intentions to loan Mainoo out this summer.
The midfielder's maturity is believed to have surprised the Dutchman, who believes he is prepared to contribute to the first team.
Ten Hag obviously believes Mainoo is too talented to loan away, even though that may appear as minutes in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
This summer, players like Scott and Fred McTominay might depart Old Trafford in order to generate money for a striker.
Since Mainoo is said to be higher than teammate youngster Hannibal Mejbri in the pecking order, that would give him a spot in United's squad.
Although Mainoo will only get bench-sitting time, it is still a positive development. The 18-year-old is obviously ready, in Ten Hag's opinion, to join his first-team plans for the following season.
In addition to Mainoo, we think Amad Diallo deserves a chance. The Ivorian scored 14 goals while on loan at Sunderland, and he also contributed three assists.
