Republic of Ireland announce squad for FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023

This will be the nation's first ever appearance in the competition's history
The Republic of Ireland women's team in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 will represent the nation's first-ever appearance at a Women's World Cup.
Ireland accomplished this achievement by defeating Scotland 1-0 in the play-off final for one of the final UEFA berths in the competition.
Through two intensely contested matches against the United States, the current World Cup champion, the Republic of Ireland proved they were prepared to contend at the event.
Despite losing both games, Ireland gave the Americans problems, and manager Vera Pauw was able to draw a lot of advantages from the contests.
The 23-player final team will depart for Australia on Friday, July 7, the day following their final practice match at home against France in Tallaght Stadium.
Should any injuries arise prior to the FIFA deadline on July 10, the team's composition is subject to change.
Additionally, three training players will travel with the team throughout the competition; however, they will not be permitted to be chosen once the FIFA deadline has passed. The Vera Pauw team will reside in Brisbane while they are at the World Cup.
