Former Barcelona forward Malcom close to €60m move to Al Hilal

The Brazilian forward played for the likes of AS Roma and Barcelona

As per a report by the Saudi publication "Al Riyadh," Malcom, a Brazilian phenomenon, is expected to sign with the Saudi Arabian team Al Hilal.

Malcom will join Al Hilal's lineup as the fourth signing during the current summer transfer window, joining Sergej Milinkovi-Savi, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Robin Neves.

Malcom, 25, started his career in Brazil with Corinthians, where he won the league championship in 2015. Later, in 2016, he relocated to Bordeaux, France, where he truly excelled. He performed admirably, scoring 23 goals and dishing out 16 assists in 96 games, capturing the interest of football fans all around the world.

The announcement that Malcom had signed with AS Roma marked a significant turn in his life. He shocked everyone nonetheless by choosing to go to Barcelona with a contract worth 41 million euros the very next day.

In 24 games in all competitions throughout his brief stint with the Catalan giants, he produced 4 goals and 2 assists, which helped Barcelona win the Spanish league.

The 26-year-old Brazilian started a new journey in the summer of 2020 when he joined Zenit St. Petersburg in Russia. He displayed his incredible talent when playing with Zenit, tallying 42 goals and 24 assists in 106 games.

His exceptional performances were crucial to the team's success, which resulted in them winning nine championships.

In Tokyo 2020, Malcom won Olympic gold with the Brazilian national squad, contributing to his already excellent résumé. This was his second Olympic victory with the Seleço.

He proudly represented his nation at the highest level by playing for the senior Brazilian national team in games against Guinea and Senegal in June of that same year.

The story claims that Al Hilal and Zenit St. Petersburg have finalised their agreement for Al Hilal to hire the 26-year-old forward.

The outstanding Brazilian was offered a remarkable contract by the Saudi Arabian team, which the Russian club accepted. Malcom will have a medical exam this week before the agreement is officially signed.
