Samuel Chukwueze reveals Victor Osimhen advised him to join AC Milan

AC Milan have signed the Nigerian winger from Villareal
Samuel Chukwueze, a recent addition to AC Milan, claimed that the Napoli striker Victor Osimhen had an influence on his choice to sign with the former European champions.
Stefano Pioli's team finally secured their acquisition of the Nigerian attacker in a five-year deal worth €28m excluding add-ons after initial negotiations between Milan and Villareal ended in failure.
Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia, and other sources claim that the agreement was reached for €20 million, plus a further €8 million in potential add-ons and performance-based bonuses.
In response, Milan also agreed to a one-season, no-option loan of defender Matteo Gabbia to Villarreal.
“When I heard AC Milan wanted to sign me, I was a little bit nervous and all over my social media, I saw Milan fans sending me messages to come to the club.
They are amazing people. And the first impression was the fans, they are the ones who made me come here,” Chukwueze said in his first interview with the club.
In the Serie A, Chukwueze will compete against international compatriot Osimhen, who the winger claims he communicated with before travelling to Italy.
The last time we talked, he told me, 'Samuel, AC Milan is a fantastic club, one of the best clubs, don't hesitate to sign with them." stated Chuwueze.
"They are fantastic, they have extraordinary supporters.' I asked him to tell me more, how it feels to play against them, and he said that the Rossoneri fans are incredible, they are crazy about football.
"No problem, I told him, 'I hope you know I'm going to beat you (laughs, note).' He replied, 'We'll see.' He's really a good guy. He played an important role in my coming to AC Milan because he told me I had to come to Italy."
