The attacker is a hot property in the market and has several clubs lining up for his signature

Mohammed Kudus is generating a lot of interest from top clubs across Europe who want to sign him in the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old is one of the most sought-after attackers in the market after his impressive performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar for the Ghana men’s football team.

He is currently contracted with Dutch Eredivisie outfit AFC Ajax, and the club is set to be open to offers for their in-demand versatile attacker. As the player is still a young player and has huge potential, any club that is planning to sign him will have to pay a huge fee to Ajax and compete with other clubs at the same time in the race to get his signature.

Reports out of the Netherlands suggest that AFC Ajax are demanding a fee somewhere in the region of €80 million for Kudus, who scored twice in Qatar for Ghana. As the race for his signature heats up, here is a look at the top five clubs that can sign him:

5. Liverpool

Liverpool are aiming to sign the forward in order to add more firepower to their attacking lineup. The Reds have been interested in the Ghanaian international since his impressive performance at the World Cup.

The departure of Roberto Firmino means that the Premier League outfit needs to add more attacking depth. Luis Diaz spent most of the 2022–23 campaign on the sidelines due to a long-term injury, and Jurgen Klopp will aim to be ready for such a situation in the upcoming season.

4. Manchester United

Manchester United are in desperate need of adding more attacking talent to their squad after relying on Marcus Rashford for goals during the 2022–23 campaign. The Red Devils are chasing a lot of players at the moment, one of them being Kudus. Erik ten Hag will hope that his former player will agree to join him in England.

The 22-year-old will be an ideal player to provide support to the likes of Antony and Jadon Sancho. With Mason Greenwood nowhere near making a return, MUFC needs to add squad depth to better prepare themselves for the long season ahead.

3. PSG

Paris Saint-Germain are actively exploring the opportunity to sign the forward from Ajax in the summer transfer window. The Ligue 1 giants are looking to sign young players as they prepare to step into a new era and reshuffle the squad.

The prospect of playing in France for Paris Saint-Germain will excite Kudus, and that will help in agreeing personal terms with the player. In addition, the Ligue 1 champions have the financial muscle to pay the fee required to land his signature.

2. Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund will be looking to add more quality to their squad after narrowly missing out on winning the 2022–23 season of the German Bundesliga. The departures of Jude Bellingham and Raphael Guerreiro have also left the side short on quality, and replacements are being considered.

The 22-year-old is high on the list of transfer targets for Borussia Dortmund. The club is an expert at signing young players with high potential, and Kudus will take that into consideration while negotiating personal terms.

1. Brighton & Hove Albion

According to reports, Brighton & Hove Albion are the front-runners to sign the player. The Seagulls have been admirers of the 22-year-old for a long time and led several elite clubs in acquiring him. Roberto De Zerbi, manager of the club, expects Kudus to be part of the team for the pre-season tour and plans to incorporate him into the starting lineup as soon as possible.

The opportunity to play in the Premier League and also represent the seagulls in the UEFA Europa League is an exciting opportunity for Mohammed Kudus. He will certainly enjoy a lot of game time at the club as compared to other outfits that are interested in his signing.
