The Islanders have been drawn into a pretty tough AFC Champions League group.

Mumbai City FC are all set to compete in their second AFC Champions League campaign. The Islanders have been drawn into group D of the competition, against some Asian giants. Mumbai, who had qualified for the competition after topping the ISL table in 2022-23, expressed their sheer delight upon making it to the biggest Asian football competition, and even hoped to replicate the success they enjoyed in the competition last season.

Upon the draw that took place on Thursday, coach Des Buckingham said, “The teams in the AFC Champions League, they’re the best in their own country. As coaches and players, we always want to test ourselves against the best. It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to continue what we did last time around and to showcase what Indian football can do on that stage. We’re looking forward to giving a good account of ourselves against the likes of Al Hilal, Nassaji and Navbahor – some of the best clubs in Asia – and represent not just Mumbai but Indian football as a whole in the best way possible.”

With that said, let us now take a look at Mumbai City FC’s fixtures for the upcoming AFC Champions League.
