India defeated Bangladesh twice in the SAFF U-16 Championship.

India clinched the SAFF U-16 Championship title by beating neighbours Bangladesh in a very handsome fashion, thanks to the goals scored by Bharat Lairenjam and Levis Zangminlun. India were in control for most parts of the game and by far were the better team, both technically and tactically.

The Blue Colts found a way out even when they were put under pressure at times. Safe to say, maestro Ishfaq Ahmed, who was given the reins of the U-23 side, has now built a reputation of a head coach maintaining the 100 percent win record.
