Subroto Cup 2023 Final: Who got hold of the awards?
St. Patrick's from Jharkhand were successful in defending their Subroto Cup title.
An one-sided encounter between St. Patrick's High School from Gumla, Jharkhand and G.S.S.S. Alakhpura from Bhiwani, Haryana drew curtains on the Junior Girls (U-17) category of 62nd Subroto Cup.
The girls of St. Patrick's High School emerged victorious in the finals, securing a convincing 3-0 victory over their opponents at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi.
The match commenced with an early goal from Anita within the initial minute of play. Subsequently, Shaulina netted a goal in the 3rd minute, augmenting the score to 2-0 in favour of St. Patrick's High School. Lastly, in the 24th minute, Anita scored her second of the match and third for the team, solidifying their substantial lead and ensuring their chances of clinching the title.
Prevously G.S.S.S Alakhpura, Bhiwani, Haryana had defeated Ananda Purna School of Science, Thoubal, Manipur and St. Patrick’s High School, Gumla, Jharkhand defeated Home Mission School, Aizawl (NCC) in the semi-finals to cement their position in the grand finale.
