Subroto Cup 2023: 7 Indian & 1 Bangladeshi team qualifies for quarter-finals in Junior Girls U-17 category
Quarter-finals to be held at Ambedkar Stadium
The 62nd edition of the Subroto Cup, which began on September 19th, has now reached the quarter-final stage. Seven teams from India and one team from Bangladesh have successfully advanced to the quarter-final round in the Junior Girls (U-17) category.
The block features several notable teams, including the reigning champions St. Patrick’s High School from Gumla, Jharkhand, the former champions Bangladesh Krida Shiksha Prothishthan (BKSP), and the renowned G.S.S.S Alakhpura from Bhiwani, Haryana. These teams have successfully secured their place in the upcoming round.
The other teams that have also advanced to the quarterfinals include Saiden Secondary School from Meghalaya, Ananda Purna School of Science from Manipur, Lohit Dikrong HSS from Assam, Tripura Sports School and Home Mission School, Aizawl (NCC).
Final group stage match of teams qualifying for quarter finals
St. Patrick’s High School, Gumla, Jharkhand beat Govt. V.H.S.S, Kannur, Kerala by 7-0 goals.
Bangladesh Krida Shiksha Prothishthan (BKSP) beat Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22A, Chandigarh by 5-0 goals.
G.S.S.S Alakhpura, Bhiwani, Haryana beat Infocus India Public School, 24 PGS (N), West Bengal by 1-0 goal.
Saiden Secondary School, Meghalaya beat Harish Panwar SSS, Uttarakhand by 11-0 goals.
Ananda Purna School of Science, Thoubal, Manipur beat G.G.H.SS, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu by 4-1 goals.
Lohit Dikrong HSS, Assam beat Government SS, Arunachal Pradesh by 2-0 goals.
Tripura Sports School, Tripura beat Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pithoragarh, Uttarakahand by 7-1 goals.
Home Mission School, Aizawl representing National Cadet Corps beat Rajendra Kusht Sewashram Balika Uchh Vidyalay Sah Inter College, Bihar by 2-1 goals.
