Lionel Messi and I lived through hell at Paris: Neymar

The Brazilian forward gave an interview to GE Globo
Neymar and Lionel Messi parted ways with PSG but both players had a tough time during their last stages at the French club.
Both players went out of favour at the club and both decided to continue their career elsewhere. Neymar will play for Saudi club Al-Hilal and Messi has already shown his magic for Inter Miami.
Neymar has finally spoken on how his friend Messi was treated at the French club and here is what he said.
“I was very happy for the year he had but at the same time very sad because he’s experienced both sides of the coin. He’s gone to heaven with the Argentina national team, he’s won everything in recent years and with Paris, he lived through hell. We lived through hell, both he and I.
“We’re upset because we’re not there for nothing. We’re there to do our best, to be champions, to try and make history, that’s why we got back together. We got together to make history. Unfortunately, we didn’t succeed.
“Messi left (PSG) in a way that, in terms of football, he didn’t deserve. For everything he is, everything he does, anyone who knows him knows that he’s a guy who trains, who fights. If he loses, he gets angry and he was unfairly charged in my opinion.
“But at the same time I was very happy that he won the World Cup. As you said, football was fair this time, since the Brazilian team went out, Messi deserved to end his career like that.”
Neymar also spoke about a couple of things regarding his career.
“I have always been very authentic throughout my career, I have never been afraid of anything, I have always been very sincere. During my career, I’ve made mistakes many times, but I’ve always been someone who wanted to do the right things, the right way. Obviously we always walk on the ball, but I want to be remembered as an authentic player, who always made a difference wherever he went. For me, it is very gratifying.”
