Manchester United plotting move for Evan Ferguson for next summer
The Irish international scored a hattrick in his last game before the international break
Despite the fact that the transfer season for this year only recently closed, Manchester United's planning for the upcoming summer has already begun.
Rasmus Hojlund, Mason Mount, and Andre Onana were among the seven players Manchester United signed during the 2023 summer transfer window, with the Red Devils spending more than £170 million overall.
Erik ten Hag recruited Sergio Reguilon, Jonny Evans, Sofyan Amrabat, and Altay Bayindir in an effort to build on a fruitful debut season as manager.
However, the new season hasn't gone as planned; after four games, Manchester United have two victories and two losses, placing them 11th in the Premier League standings.
The club is already looking ahead to next summer as they want to strengthen their roster even more in an effort to help them achieve their desired elevation, reported by Manchester Evening News.
As ten Hag must be patient to assemble his own club, United are rumoured to be pursuing four significant signings.
The club anticipates losing players at a number of positions on the pitch, including centre back, full back, centre midfield, and in attack. A number of the present players are likely to be performing their last years for the organisation.
Teenage phenom Evan Ferguson of Brighton, who recently scored his first Premier League hat-trick against Newcastle in his team's 3-1 victory, is one of the names reportedly being considered.
The Irish international Evan Ferguson recently extended his contract with the Seagulls by five years, although rumours claim he could leave for a significant sum of money the following year.
Despite the £72 million acquisition of Hojlund from Denmark, who marked his debut in United's 3-1 loss to Arsenal prior to the international break, ten Hag is eager to bolster his front lineup.
Anthony Martial might ultimately depart the team if he has another dismal season, and Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay are two other players who will undoubtedly leave the team.
