Senegal's youngest debutant Amara Diouf set to join French club FC Metz

Amara Diouf made his debut for Senegal at the age of 15

Amara Diouf, a prodigy who has represented Senegal since the age of 15 years and 94 days, will tour Europe in the colours of FC Metz.

The history of Senegalese football is at this point. Amara Diouf made her Lions of Téranga bow on Saturday night throughout the CAN qualification match between Senegal and Rwanda. He was 15 years, and 94 days old.

The teenage prodigy took benefit of the reality that head coach Aliou Cissé decided to rest his management team by only calling up players from the national tournament when the African champions were already certain to qualify. Amara Diouf entered the game wearing number 20 about twenty minutes before the game's conclusion.

“At 18, Amara will go to FC Metz. It is our partner club, which has helped launch the careers of many Senegalese”, said Mady Touré, founder and president of Génération Foot.

This young prodigy is presently playing for FC Metz's academy, Génération Foot, which was established in 2000. According to So Foot, the youngster has already had approaches from FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Arsenal. But Lorraine would have to be the first stop on his journey.

We can name other players who travelled from Dakar to the French club before making a name for themselves in Europe, like Papiss Cissé, Ismala Sarr, Habib Diallo, and of course the mascot Sadio Mané.

Amara Diouf would have been urged by the prior Liverpool player to only sign with Metz.

“ Sadio, who is her model, talks a lot with Amara, explains Mady Touré. The other day he told him: Sign for Metz, you won’t regret it. I even went through the third division with this team, and look where I am now. The big clubs will still be there if you don’t miss the stages.’
