Sofyan Amrabat to join Morocco national team despite injury rumours

Amrabat was reported to be injured during Manchester United's medical
Sofyan Amrabat is set to join Morocco for international friendlies after rumours of him picking up a back injury during his Manchester United medical.
The Moroccan's physical was finished, but a slight back problem was discovered, reports to The Athletic. He has stated that when competing with his country's national team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, he experienced back problems.
Sofyan Amrabat, 27, has signed a season-long loan deal with Manchester United from Serie A club Fiorentina, with the Red Devils footing the initial €10 million loan fee. By activating their right to buy and spending an additional €20 million, they may make the change permanent.
It's possible that they were already aware of Amrabat's back issue. He disclosed to the earlier source that he had taken painkillers before Morocco's World Cup victory over Spain in the round of 16.
The ailment isn't thought to be too significant, though, so United was pleased to complete a deal for the adaptable midfielder. Erik ten Hag was eager to work with Amrabat again because he had previously trained him at FC Utrecht of the Eredivisie.
Coming of the Moroccan comes at a critical time for Manchester United. They won indecisively against Wolverhampton Wanderers (1-0) and Nottingham Forest (3-2).
But on Sunday, September 3, they lost heartbreakingly to Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 and to Arsenal 3-1 in the dying seconds. In each of the four games, Ten Hag's midfield has been a weakness.
