Ratings: Well-oiled Odisha FC trample Maziya

Four defenders were on the scoresheet for Odisha FC.
What a game it was for Odisha FC at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. They came into this game in a ‘do-or-die’ situation having lost their opening two AFC Cup fixtures. But they fought back in style.
The Kalinga Warriors tormented Maziya S&RC and pulled off a fine 6-1 victory in front of their home fans. Goals from Puitea, Mourtada Fall, Carlos Delgado, Amey Ranawade, Isak Vanlalruatfela, and Sahil Panwar sealed the deal for Sergio Lobera’s side.

Amrinder Singh (GK) - 7.5
The keeper had a good day at the office. Although Amrinder conceded a goal and couldn’t keep a clean-sheet, he still did a pretty good job under the bar. He made a couple of brilliant saves and clearances for his side and did not allow the opposition many opportunities.
Amey Ranawade - 7.5
Amey had a field day at the right-back position. He was very busy during his time on the pitch. He made four interceptions, two crucial tackles and an important block. He also maintained a passing accuracy of 91% and also scored a brilliant goal to wrap his shift.
Mourtada Fall - 8.0
Mourtada Fall was very good on either end of the pitch. He put in five clearances, one block and an important interception at the back while maintaining a 100% record in aerial duels. Fall was very good with his ball distribution and also scored a goal. He also assisted Puitea for the opening goal.
Carlos Delgado - 8.0
Carlos Delgado put in another good performance at the back. The Spaniard had a busy outing as he made six clearances and also an important block. He executed a key pass while maintaining a passing precision of over 90% and also scored a goal and provided an assist for his side.
Jerry Lalrinzuala - 7.0
The left-back also had a good game. He was busy defending every time an attack came through his side and also made overlapping runs to contribute in the attack. He was very good with his ball distribution as well.
Ahmed Jahouh - 7.5
Jahouh did what he does best. The Moroccan controlled the tempo of the game in brilliant manner. He put in perfectly-timed challenges and was heavily involved in the middle of the park. Jahouh also won the ball a lot of times in key positions and provided an assist as well.
Isak Vanlalruatfela - 7.5
Isak had a very good game. He was involved in the thick of things every now and then. The young midfielder contributed at the back and also initiated counter-attacks for his side. He capped off his good shift with a goal in the second half.
Roy Krishna - 7.0
Krishna had a quiet game in comparison to the result that his side pulled off. He did not get many opportunities and wasn’t heavily involved either. However, he made a couple of clearances and initiated a few attacking moves.
Puitea - 8.0
Puitea was everywhere all throughout the pitch for Odisha FC. He tracked back and helped out his defenders, scored a goal and even assisted Amey Ranawade for Odisha FC’s fourth goal. All in all, it was a good display from the midfielder.
Cy Goddard - 7.0
The Japanese winger also had a quiet game despite trying to create a few opportunities. Goddard worked his socks off on both the flanks and tried to make things happen for his side. He maintained a good passing accuracy and completed the majority of his passes and also won the ball in key positions.
Diego Mauricio - 7.5
Diego Mauricio might not have found the back of the net today, but he was very active up front. The Brazilian forward was involved in almost every attacking move that Odisha FC created and got himself a couple of assists in the process.
Substitutes
Michael Soosairaj - 6.0
Soosairaj came off the bench to replace Isak in the second half. He maintained a decent passing accuracy and also won the ball once.
Narender Gahlot - 6.5
Narender came off to replace Amey Ranawade in the second half. He made an important clearance while maintaining a very good passing accuracy of over 90%.
Sahil Panwar - 7.0
Sahil Panwar was brought in to replace Jerry at the left-back position. Sahil scored a brilliant goal and added Odisha’s sixth of the night.
Thoiba Singh - 6.5
Thoiba came in and replaced Puitea. He won all his ground duels and was also very good with his ball distribution.
Aphaoba Singh - 6.5
He came on very late in the game, but still made a fantastic run into the box and did everything right except for the final touch.
