FC Goa are at the top of the table
In a thrilling encounter at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru FC clashed with FC Goa in a crucial match of the 2023-24 Indian Super League (ISL) season. The stage was set for a battle of titans, as both teams aimed to secure a pivotal victory in this high-stakes showdown.
Bengaluru FC, eager to maintain the momentum from their earlier success, had already secured a crucial victory in the ISL 2023-24 season. FC Goa, on the other hand, had been enjoying a commendable run in the league and was determined to keep their position at the top of the table.
As the whistle blew, it was clear that this match would be a fiercely contested affair, with both sides determined to claim the three crucial points at stake. In the end, the game concluded with a 0-0 draw, with FC Goa remaining at the summit of the table, for now.

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu- 8.0
The Gaurs came close to scoring many times in the first half, so Gurpreet had to keep his gloves busy right away. Gurpreet had a good day at office overall since he denied the opponent several opportunities and produced a few outstanding saves and clearances for the Blues.
Aleksandar Jovanovic- 7.0
Aleksandar Jovanovic did well today in the backline. Made a number of good interceptions and did not allow much space to FC Goa players to penetrate the final third. Delivered good command playing alongside Slavko Damjanovic and other defenders.
Keziah Veendorp- 7.0
Veendorp from the start was proactive but fell short of expectations as the match went forward. Keziah tried to build up the play for his team from the middle by helping the Blues both offensively and defensively.
Suresh Singh Wangjam- 6.5
Suresh was not in his best at today's game, helped his team defensively but lost ball possession against the goan midfielders while creating chances. Came close to goal in the second half but was not able to cruise past the Goa defence.
Slavko Damjanovic- 7.5
Damjanovic was defensivly very strong today at BFC's backline today and perfromed with sheer consistency throughout the game. Made a couple of important interceptions and did around 5-6 successful tackles and delivered good command in the pitch playing alongside Namgyal and Jovanovic.
Namgyal Bhutia- 6.5
Namgyal attempted to create numerous chances for his team, but lost control several times in the middle throughout the process. Apart from that, Namgyal was very busy on the sidelines, attempting to create pleasing combination play with Veendorp and Javi.
Rohit Danu- 6.5
Rohit Danu performed a strong midfield role in his BFC match tonight. He made a number of important passes during the match, but despite his contributions to the attacking play, he was unable to score a goal under his name so was taken off at the second half.
Javi Hernandez- 7.5
During the first half, Javi tried to create few attacking chances for the Blues and in the process he came very close to the goal but left to convert. Throughout the game, he made some key passes to the final-third and had a very positive impact as he came for dangerously quite a lot of times.
Naorem Roshan Singh- 7.0
Roshan Naorem performed admirably. The Manipuri assisted in defence and initiated counter-attacks for his team with his lethal with the ball runs. He capped up his outstanding effort by creating many fantastic opportunities through the wing in the second half. Roshan also produced some posiitve crosses from set pieces and corners, but the BFC forwards left to captivate.
Halicharan Narzary- 7.0
Halicharan Narzary had a good battle with Raynier and other goan players. Halicharan from the start tried to link up the play for the Blues and tried to captivate all chances created by his team but was later taken off at the 70th minute by Simon Grayson
Sunil Chhetri- 7.0
Sunil showed good determination with the ball, made few important runs with the ball in the final third of FC Goa but left to get past the Goa goalie. Sunil was a key component for BFC today as tried to bridge the gap between midfield and the attacking line of BFC.
Substitutes
Ryan Dale Williams- 7.0
Ryan Williams looked quite lethal in the sides and he made the right channel for BFC more active with his presence. Towards the end he tried to build up a few positive goal scoring chances but could not live upto fan's expectations.
Curtis Main- 6.5
Simon Grayson brought in Curtis Main in the search of their much needed goal. Curtis did well playing alongside Sunil Chhteri, and tried to create more goal scoring opportunities for the Blues
Shankar Sampingiraj- 6.5
Shankar came in place of Jovanic in the first quarter of the second half and brought in fresh legs to the BFC defence. Did well to stop the Goan forwards by making few good tackles in the bakcline.
Siva Sakthi- 6.5
In the second half, Rohit Danu was replaced by Siva Sakthi. He produced a couple good runs, won a few ground duels, and kept up a respectable passing accuracy.
FC Goa (By Sonal Fernandes)
Arshdeep Singh - 6
Hardly any saves to be made.
Seriton Fernandes - 7
Hardly tested, especially in the first half. Did not offer a lot going forward but defensively solid.
Odei Onaindia - 7
Managed to keep Bengaluru talisman Sunil Chhetri quiet. Created a good opportunity for Carlos Martinez but the forward failed to take his chance.
Sandesh Jhingan - 7
Sandesh put in a solid performance against his national team mate and captain Sunil Chhetri.
Jay Gupta - 8
Another impressive performance at left back. Solid in defense and constantly pushing forward and even tested the Bengaluru goalkeeper
Rowlin Borges - 7
Solid performance in midfield, did not let the likes of Javi Hernandez dictate terms.
Carl McHugh - 7
Reliable as ever. Linked the defense and attack well. Almost scored from a well worked corner.
Raynier Fernandes - 6
Put in a decent shift out of position. Linked well with Jay.
Udanta Singh - 6
Should have been used better specially in the wing areas.
Victor Rodriguez - 8
Looked lively from the beginning. Was a constant threat specially in the half spaces.
Carlos Martinez - 6
Got on the ball frequently early on. Dropped between the lines in trying to create chances for his team.

Provided width in replacing Udanta.
