Antonio López Habas's newcomers were incredibly disciplined against a possession-heavy FC Goa side. Just as the first half looked set to end goalless, Inter Kashi struck. Haobam Tomba Singh played a brilliant ball to Prasanth Karuthadathkuni [45+2'], who timed his run perfectly to lob the ball over the onrushing Hrithik Tiwari, scoring Inter Kashi's first-ever ISL goal.

Manolo Márquez’s Gaurs pushed relentlessly for an equalizer in the second half but found Inter Kashi goalkeeper Lluis Tarrés in inspired form. However, the game turned on its head in the 80th minute. Tarrés made a crucial error, attempting to dribble past Muhammed Nemil inside his own box. He lost the ball, pulled the Goa forward down, and was instantly shown a straight red card, giving away a penalty.

Substitute goalkeeper Shubham Dhas came on, but Dejan Dražić [84'] stepped up and calmly converted from the spot to rescue a point for the home side against the 10-man visitors.
