ISL Fantasy Guru: How your team should look like in Gameweek 6
The ISL Gameweek 6 features double games for Bengaluru FC, Hyderabad FC and Punjab FC.
For the first time in 3 ISL gameweeks all the 12 teams are set to feature in this gameweek as some teams had AFC Club competitions competitions while some games were called off due to the festive and ongoing Cricket World Cup commitments with police not being able to provide required security in the previous gameweeks.
Gameweek 5 review
Gameweek 5 in the fantasy ISL was a mixed bag of performances for our team, resulting in a total of 33 points. The outcomes were varied, with both encouraging and disappointing displays across the squad.
Starting with the defensive lineup, Mirshad led the charge, accumulating a commendable 7 points. However, the standout performance came from Sandesh Jhingan, who was chosen as the captain and delivered exceptionally with 12 points. Akash Mishra faced his former team, Hyderabad, and managed to secure 2 points. Mourtada Fall, in an away game against Kerala, secured 1 point. Unfortunately, Yaser Hamed did not feature, impacting the defensive setup.
The midfield, however, struggled to make a significant impact in this gameweek. Nemil and Mohammad Yasir managed to grab a solitary point each, offering minimal contributions. Rei Tachikawa, serving as the vice-captain, managed to garner 2 points but fell short of making a substantial mark. Additionally, Noah's absence due to injury affected the midfield's overall performance and depth.
In the attacking department, Chhangte, while making an appearance, secured 2 points. However, it was Joe Knowles who made his mark, registering his first significant contribution with an assist and securing 5 points, showcasing his potential and offering a ray of hope for the team's attacking capabilities.
Transfer for Lineup 6
In a move aimed at bolstering our fantasy ISL lineup for Gameweek 6, Lalianzuala Chhangte is being replaced with his Mumbai City teammate, Jorge Pererya Diaz. Chhangte's recent lackluster form and underwhelming performances have prompted this transfer decision. Diaz's proven track record and potential to deliver impactful contributions make him an essential addition to strengthen our attacking force, aiming for improved results in the upcoming fixtures.
Gameweek 6 lineups
For Gameweek 6 of the fantasy Indian Super League (ISL), our team lineup has been meticulously crafted in the pursuit of maximizing point potential and securing a strong performance. The selection process for this gameweek has been influenced by both form and the strategic calculation of fixture strengths.
In the goalkeeping department, Mirshad Michu retains his position as our guardian between the posts. Michu’s consistent performances and shot-stopping abilities make him a reliable choice to accumulate points for the team.
The defensive setup boasts a formidable trio comprising Sandesh Jhingan, Mourtada Fall, and Akash Mishra. Jhingan, renowned for his robust defending, recently managed to secure FC Goa's first cleansheet away at Bengaluru FC. Fall’s aerial dominance and Mishra's energetic displays promise both defensive solidity and potential attacking contributions.
In the midfield, we've lined up an impressive quartet consisting of Sahal Abdul Samad, Noah Sadaoui, Mohammad Yasir, and Rei Tachikawa. Abdul Samad’s technical prowess, combined with Sadaoui's dynamic playing style when fit, offer a blend of creativity and goal-scoring potential. Yasir’s consistent contributions and Tachikawa’s ability to orchestrate the game add depth and skill to our midfield contingent.
The attacking lineup for Gameweek 6 features Joe Knowles, Pererya Dias, and Dimitri Petratos, who has been entrusted with the captain’s armband. Knowles, a potent threat in front of the goal, aims to capitalize on scoring opportunities. Dias, our vice-captain, is expected to lead the attacking charge alongside Petratos, who has been given the captaincy due to his playmaking abilities and potential to generate points through goals and assists.
On the bench, Prabhsukhan Gill provides backup in goal, Mohammed Nemil provides a further option in midfield, while Yaser Hamed offers defensive cover. However, it’s important to note that Prabir Das is suspended for this gameweek, which affects our defensive options and forces a tactical reevaluation.
