Boinao Singh scored two consecutive goals in the U-17 Boys quarter-finals
The U-17 Junior Boys category of the 62nd edition of the Subroto Cup has concluded and Govt. Model Senior Secondary School from Sector 37 B, Chandigarh emerged as the champions. In the final match, they secured victory by defeating Amenity Public School, Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, who represented CBSE by 5-3 penalty score.
Although the team from Uttarakhand lost the match, their player Boinao Singh made a lasting impact on the game during the tournament. His exceptional performance and ability to score crucial goals for Amenity Public School were impressive.
He also received the best player award in the U-17 boys category at the closing ceremony of the 62nd Subroto Cup. Additionally, he was presented with a cash prize of Rs 40,000, which undoubtedly will serve as a great motivator for him to consider pursuing a career in this sport in the future.
In the quarterfinal round, he demonstrated an impressive performance, scoring two consecutive goals that played a pivotal role in securing his team's spot in the semifinals. Even in the semifinal round, he orchestrated several exciting opportunities for his team, although he was unable to convert them into goals.
