Three Premier League players to score in each of first five away games of a season

Scoring in away games consistently is a difficult feat to achieve

The Premier League is one of the biggest and best football leagues in the world. Overall almost every club has a huge fanbase, even the recently promoted Luton Town fans always fill up their stadium for PL matches. That being said, the ambience and the support of the fans is a key factor for the players. Away games are quite difficult to tackle especially since huge crowds of people are against the opponent team.

However, there are some players who have not given in to this fan pressure in the Premier League. Let's take a look at the top three players who have scored in the first five away appearances at the start of a season.

3. Thierry Henry: 2001-02

One of the best players of our generation. Thierry Henry has had a successful career with his prime at FC Barcelona and mainly at Arsenal. Henry is also considered one of the best if not the best striker in the history of the Premier League. Theirry has numerous records and accolades in the Premier League to his name.

In the 2001-02 season, Arsenal grabbed three points right at the start of the season in an away game. Henry scored a goal against Middlesbrough and started a streak of scoring consecutively in 5 away games. Henry then went on to score goals against Chelsea, Fulham, Derby and Southampton. Eventually, Henry ended up scoring 24 Premier League goals in that season with Arsenal winning the title as well.

2. Mohammed Salah: 2021-22

Salah once used to be a Chelsea reject but then turned his fortune around when he joined Liverpool FC from Roma. Salah joined Thierry Henry in the list in the 2021-22 season.

The Scousers faced Norwich City, Leeds United, Brentford, Watford and Manchester United in their first 5 away games. Salah bagged a goal and assisted two goals in Liverpool's first away match against Norwich City. Salah shone in Liverpool's first big match of the season against Manchester United. Mohammed Salah bagged an incredible hat-trick against Manchester United as Liverpool scored 7 goals.

1. Jarrod Bowen: 2023-24

One of West Ham's stars, Jarrod Bowen has been on the radar of many big clubs. West Ham have particularly been performing inconsistently in the Premier League this season. However, Jarrod Bowen has been consistent for them.

Bowen has scored 5 goals in his first 5 away games of the 2023-24 season. Jarrod scored a goal each against Bournemouth, Brighton, Luton Town, Liverpool and Aston Villa. Jarrod has already scored as many goals as he did last season.(6) Last season, Jarrod Bowen scored 6 goals in 38 Premier League games. This season, Bowen has already equalled that tally scoring 6 and assisting twice in 9 Premier League games.
