Sehrou Guirassy joined Stuttgart in the summer

Premier League side Fulham are targeting Bundesliga sensation Sehrou Guirassy, who has a release clause of just over £15 million at Stuttgart.

The 27-year-old striker has started the season on fire, scoring 14 goals in just eight Bundesliga matches, and the Cottagers have identified him as a potential transfer option.

Fulham are on the lookout for additional firepower after scoring just eight goals in their opening nine Premier League games.

The club are searching for an Aleksandar Mitrovic replacement following his £50m move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia over the summer.

Guinea international Guirassy is attracting interest from a host of English clubs after outscoring Harry Kane in the German top flight so far this season.

Sehrou Guirassy joined Stuttgart in 2023 after a successful loan spell with the club last season. He left French side Rennes and came for his second spell in the German top flight. The 27-year-old was a Koln player from 2016 to 2020.

Guirassy has two har-tricks to his name and attracted the attention of many. Fulham are 13th in the Premier League and struggling to score. Last season, the Cottagers finished 10th on their return to the top division.

Aleksander Mitrovic was the leader of the pack and scored crucial goals for the club. Now he is showing his class in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal. The Cottagers remain interested in several alternative forward options, with Genk’s Gift Orban, Southampton’s Carlos Alcaraz and Sporting’s Geny Catamo among those also being tracked.

Summer signing Raul Jimenez has failed to score in his first eight Premier League matches for his new club and is on a goal drought stretching back to March 2022.

Only Burnley, Bournemouth and Sheffield United, the clubs currently in the relegation zone, have scored fewer goals than Fulham in the Premier League so far this season.
