Sancho is yet to apologise to Ten Hag

According to reports, Jadon Sancho is close to leaving Manchester United in January.

After their public spat, Jadon Sancho, 23, was barred from first-team practice after failing to express regret to manager Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag gave an update on the Englishman after the Red Devils' Carabao Cup triumph against Crystal Palace on Wednesday. The forward was benched for the Red Devils match against Arsenal last month.

According to reports, Sancho was 'banned from attending' a recent cookout that Ten Hag threw for the rest of the team.

“Just one final point on Man United and Jadon Sancho – at the moment there is no significant update to report, and I’m not aware of any decision on a potential new winger signing in January,” Romano told CaughtOffside.

“There are many good opportunities around such as Pedro Neto who I’ve already mentioned and who is a fantastic player, but it’s absolutely not sure or guaranteed that Man United will spend big money in January."

Florian Plettenberg, a recognised reporter for Sky Sports Germany, asserts that a loan arrangement is "more likely" than a permanent transfer.

According to Plettenberg, Sancho is eager to play frequently somewhere and would find it "very unlikely" to return to his previous team, Borussia Dortmund.

The player is rumoured to have admirers at Barcelona, and Liverpool, United's Premier League foe, has also been pushed to sign him.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano provided details on the plight of Sancho and suggested Wolves wide receiver Pedro Neto as a possible Sancho successor at Old Trafford.
