Bellingham has been one of the best in the world since joining Real Madrid

Former Borussia Dortmund midfielder and Real Madrid's new sensation is likely to beat Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala for the Kopa Trophy 2023, according to Partick Berger.

The Kopa Trophy is an award given to the best U-21 football player across the globe during a joint ceremony with the Ballon d'Or. This is the fifth time that this award has been presented.

Gavi of Barcelona is the current holder of the Kopa Trophy. He won this award in 2022 finishing ahead of Eduardo Camavinga and Jamal Musiala. His teammate Pedri won the award in 2021 ahead of Bellingham and Musiala.

Kylian Mbappe won this award for the first time in 2018 and Matthijs De Ligt lifted this trophy in 2019.

Jude Bellingham has been on another level since joining Real Madrid in 2023. The Real Madrid superstar has played in 13 games combined in the LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League. He has netted 13 goals and created three. In the 2022-23 season, Jude played in 42 games across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund and was involved in 40 goals.

Jamal Musiala is also a top talent and missed on winning this award twice. He scored the winning goal for Bayern Munich and helped them win the Bundesliga 2022-23. The German was involved in 27 goals last season and has seven involvements in the current season.

The other top nominees for the Kopa Trophy 2023 are Gavi, Eduardo Camavinga, Pedri, Xavi Simons, Alejandro Balde, Antonio Silva, Rasmus Hojlund and Elye Wahi.
