Liverpool favourites to sign Khephren Thuram amid Real Madrid & Newcastle interest

The Reds missed out on signing Thuram in last summer window

Newcastle United and Real Madrid are both interested in Khephren Thuram, but Liverpool are outpacing them in the battle to recruit him.

The club has been keeping an eye on Khéphren Thuram all summer, and Nice is willing to let him leave. He is still accessible and on the market.

Thuram is the type of midfielder who is capable of playing as both an eight and a number six, so it would be smart for Liverpool to sign him this summer in order to complete the team's midfield makeover under Jürgen Klopp. That scenario appears to have remained the same.

However, this is not the only means by which Liverpool may still ensure a rational conclusion to the transfer window.

This report must now be taken seriously. Salah's situation is getting hotter, and nothing is off the table given how Saudi Arabia has stepped up recruitment over the course of the summer. After all, All-Ittihad was successful in luring Fabinho away from Liverpool earlier this summer.

Players including Neymar are currently relocating and advancing their careers in the nation.

If All-Ittihad does come back for Salah, Liverpool most likely won't be able to reject the offer. But that's all the club needs to do.

At the tender age of 17, Thuram earned his first-team debut for Monaco in a 2-0 defeat to Atlético Madrid in a UEFA Champions League match; he came on as a 63rd-minute substitute for Aleksandr Golovin.

Thuram signed Nice, a Derby de la Côte d'Azur foe, on June 26.[5] On August 17, the forward made an appearance in a 2-1 victory at Nîmes, coming on to replace Ignatius Ganago for the final seven minutes.
