Fallou Diagne registered 19 appearances for Chennaiyin FC last season.

Fallou Diagne, once a formidable force in the ranks of Chennaiyin FC, has now embarked on a new chapter with Dhangadhi FC, a vibrant Nepalese professional franchise based in the picturesque setting of Dhangadhi, Sudurpashchim Province. The club graces the Nepal Super League, the pinnacle of franchise football in the country.

At the age of 34, Diagne emerges as the standout addition to the Dhangadhi roster for the second installment of the NSL. His rich professional football background includes spells with renowned French clubs like Metz and Rennes, along with Germany’s Werder Bremen. Before making his presence felt in Dhangadhi, he showcased his skills in the Indian Super League with Chennaiyin FC. Noteworthy is his international experience, having earned three caps while representing Senegal.

In the 2022-23 season, Fallou Diagne lent his prowess to the Chennaiyin FC squad, a campaign that saw them land in the eighth spot on the ISL table. During his 19 appearances for Chennaiyin FC, Diagne’s tenacity on the field was undeniable, though it came with a touch of caution as he collected five yellow cards in the process.

Dhangadhi FC’s preparations for Nepal Super League

Dhangadhi FC look forward to a strengthened squad with the addition of Diagne, especially in the pivotal role of a central defender. The team’s marquee player for the season continues to be Ashish Chaudhary, and the seasoned guidance of manager Jugal Kishore Rai will steer the team’s efforts.

The eagerly awaited second edition of the Nepal Super League is scheduled to commence on November 24, featuring a total of nine participating teams. It’s noteworthy that the inaugural edition of the league was triumphantly secured by Kathmandu Rayzors, who defeated Dhangadhi FC in the final.
