Croatia announce squad for November international break
Croatia will face Lativa and Armenia
The Croatian team that qualified for the 2022 World Cup is getting closer to a spot in the upcoming major tournament, thus the Euro 2024 squad may arrive sooner than you think.
This Croatian team has a familiar appearance because Zlatko Dalic continues to be in charge of a seasoned collection of players that includes Ivan Perisic, Mateo Kovacic, and national star Luka Modric.
With younger players like Josko Gvardiol and Josip Sutalo in the combine, the present Croatian generation has a lot to be enthused about.
Zlatko Dalic was appointed in 2017 and hopes to lead Croatia to a major championship four times.
In the inaugural tournament, he took the national team to unprecedented heights and got them to the 2018 World Cup final, which they lost to France in an exciting match.
It was heartbreaking to lose in the round of sixteen at Euro 2020, but Dalic and Croatia came very close to replicating their 2018 World Cup success when they lost in the semifinals to the eventual champion Argentina after eliminating Brazil and surviving the third-place play-off.
Luka Modric, the finest player who has ever played for Croatia, appears to have one more major tournament left, 2024's Euro.
By the time the German championship matches arrive, the master of Real Madrid's midfield will not be far from 39 years old. However, he has not yet shown any signs of ageing.
Modric, who has played for his nation for almost 20 years, is still a top-tier player in the middle of the field. He keeps on carefully drawing the strings for his country.
